This Mid-Autumn Festival will bring you the latest cross-cultural experience, combining amazing high-tech interactive art installations, exciting live performances, diverse food experience, and large-scale children’s amusement facilities. Let’s add a unique aspect to this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival!

Event Highlights:

Saturday, 7th September
– 11:00 AM: Official Opening
– 11:40 AM: 100-Person Dragon Dance Parade (Everyone is welcome to join!)
– 12:00-2 PM: Community Performances
– 2:00- 3:30 PM: Artist performances by Katy Kung and Joel Chan, followed by Fan Interaction Games
– 6:00 PM: Riverside Music Festival featuring an 8-meter screen projection

Sunday, 8th September
– 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Rhodes Fire Brigade Visit
– 12:00 – 2:30 PM: Community Performances

Installation 01: Bright Moon Over the Sea

The fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar is the brightest and roundest time of the year for the moon. In the sky of Rhodes Foreshore Park, this giant light installation is inspired by the bright moon in the distant starry sky, symbolizing the sacred, sustenance of the moon goddess, bringing joy, romance, and comfort.

  • The large-scale imitation moon installation allows people to experience the Mid-Autumn Festival in an immersive experience with the moon.
  • Set up a lighting open ceremony at sunset to better create a Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere.

Meet TVB Artists

Katy Kung Ka Yan

Katy Kung Ka Yan is a Hong Kong actress, host, and model, currently a managed artist under TVB. At the “TVB Anniversary Awards 2020,” she won the “Most Popular TVB Actress in Malaysia” and “Most Popular TV Female Character” awards for her roles in “Death By Zero” and “Hong Kong Love Stories,” respectively, becoming a dual award winner.

Joel Chan Shan Chung

Joel Chan Shan Chung is a Hong Kong actor and singer. He is currently a contracted artist with TVB and Shaw Brothers. He entered the music industry in 1993 and released two albums before transitioning to television dramas. At the “TVB Anniversary Awards 2017,” he won the “Best Supporting Actor” award for his role as “Ling Qian You” in the series “The Unholy Alliance.” At the “TVB Anniversary Awards 2022,” he won the “Best Actor” award for his performance in the series “Barrack O’Karma.”
